Security and environment

The Safety and Environment Commission has been active for several years, defending the interests of CPB members by acting as a privileged interlocutor with the regional and federal public authorities or other bodies such as the Port of Brussels, Brussels Mobility, Brussels Cleaning, the police divisions of the canal zone, etc.

Examples of subjects dealt with:

  • Mobility in the Canal Zone: works on the Avenue du Port; the Allée verte crossroads; etc.
  • Environmental impact of the Canal Plan on certain companies
  • Risk of an electricity blackout (in the Brussels-Capital Region)
  • Security: theft / vandalism (e.g. CCB Italcementi); cameras in the port area (monitoring)
